Wait. Trust. Hope.

I can’t imagine what Good Friday was like for the disciples.  Their good friend Jesus, whom they followed and learned from and loved, died the death of a criminal.

Some of those disciples sacrificed their livelihoods to be His follower. Do you think they ever questioned His calling?  Wondered if they were crazy for believing in Him?  Doubted His ability to conquer the grave?

Those must have been 72 of the longest hours of their lives. They waited (perhaps patiently).  Trusted in His Words.  Hoped for His return.

…then Sunday came. (HE ROSE AGAIN.  Death could not hold him!)

For some of us, we must wait weeks, months, even years for that which we wait…that which we desire…that which we toil in, wrestle with, and long for peace.  Redemption awaits.  Trust and find Hope in Him, just as the disciples did.  He won’t disappoint.

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” -Romans 15:13
