A Reminder to Hug Your Dad

My good friend Chad’s Dad passed away a few weeks ago.

Paul was diagnosed with a degenerative disease in 2008, which eventually led to his fall over Christmas.  He was in and out of the hospital, but in the end, his body couldn’t recover.

Paul was a solid businessman and good husband.  More than that, though, he loved his son and was exceedingly proud of him.

When I got the text that Paul passed away, it was quickly followed up with, “Hug your dad tight the next time you see him.  You never know when it’ll be the last.”

I’m praying for you, Chad…

  1. I am so sorry, Chad. My husband Doug and I will be praying for you. My husband has taught me to tell the people that you love, “I love you,” every time you see them, because you never know when someone might pass on, and you lose the opportunity to say it. It also builds better relationships during your time here on earth.
