Halloween

I have fond memories of Halloween as a child.  Most years, we wore  plastic masks (you know, the kind with pinpricks for nose holes you can barely breathe in) with layers and layers of clothing since it was cold outside.  Our trick or treating was limited to Mom and Dad driving us around to our grandparents’ houses.

I’ll admit that now that I’m old(er), Halloween has somewhat lost its luster. Last year, I dressed up as a Geisha, while Jonathan went as Michael Jackson.  We had fun, but my take on the holiday now is pretty much summed up in something I read (but, naturally, I can’t remember where), “Halloween is an excuse for men to dress as women and women to dress as whores.”

Come to think of it, I guess that’s what I did last year, huh? 🙂
