Wedding Q&A

Since getting engaged, we’ve been asked a barrage of questions, so I’m going to address some here…

Are we eloping?  No.

When is the wedding?  We don’t know.  It will largely be dictated by reception hall availability.

Are we getting married at Grace?  No.  I don’t want to get married at my workplace.

Are we getting married at Common Ground (Jonathan’s church)?  No.  It’s ugly.

When are we having babies?  Not for a long time.  When asked this, we glanced at each other with deer-in-the-headlights looks before I uttered, “Ummm… 10 years?”

When are we buying a house?  We know that mortgage rates are low, but we’re not looking right now.

We’ll keep you updated as plans progress! 🙂

  1. There are so many important questions we must ask the newly engaged couple:

Are you going to have an Anne of Green Gables themed wedding?
When are you attending a Star Trek Convention together?
Is Jonathan going to dye his hair to match yours?
Do you think the Colts can win the Superbowl this year?
Will you take Angie and I to a fancy dinner at your cost to celebrate?
Could you please get the priest from Princess Bride to do your ceremony?
Is it ok to wear leather Chucks to work as dress shoes?
    White shoes after labor day?
    Pre, mid, or post tribulation?
    Chocolate, flowers or jewelry?
To be or not to be?
    Chicken or egg?

    • BAHAHAHAHAHA!

      Where to begin? 🙂

Of COURSE the Colts can win the Superbowl, silly!

      • I’d apologize for my hubbie, but you know that in the midst of serious sentimentality, he has to be snarky now and then. Part of his “charm,” I suppose. As the shoe queen, he really is wondering about your thoughts regarding the dressiness of leather Chucks. (He really doesn’t care about white shoes and Labor Day… the possible Chucks in question are all black.)

We love you, Serena – and we’re so excited for you! 🙂

      • There are a few factors that are at play. Not everyone has a “style” that can wear Chucks well. (I don’t think I could pull them off.) I can’t see T.R. having a problem with this one. 🙂 That being said, if it’s not a violation of a dress code and his boss/superiors don’t have an issue with it, then by all means…wear those puppies!

Thanks for your constant love and support, friends!
