I visited my niece a few weeks ago. She has a cabinet where she stores her “treasures.” These special items are those that she deems precious, so she keeps them in her secret hiding spot where they’ll remain safe.
At one point during our time together, she began sharing with me some of her “treasures:” princess jewelry, cards people have sent her, etc. I felt privileged since she doesn’t let just anyone near her treasures. She loves them. She protects them. She cares for them.
How fun to think that God treasures us far more than even my niece loves her “treasures.”
“The Lord your God has chosen you out of all the peoples on the face of the earth to be His people, His treasured possession.” –Deuteronomy 7:6
