Cherish Joy

One of my friends had a miscarriage last year.

My friend carried the baby (which they named Cherish Joy) for 7 weeks to the day.  Though Baby Cherish never had the chance to breathe air or walk in grass, made a profound impact on this world.  I watched as her Mom and Dad fought for her struggling life, then later as they mourned together.  They will never be the same…

…which is why now that they are pregnant again (!), they are cautiously hopeful.  They don’t take one day of pregnancy for granted.  Instead, each day over 7 weeks of their pregnancy is a joyous celebration.  One that I’m happy to join in with them.

Congratulations, Kelly and Tony!  I’m praying for you and your little one! 🙂
