Out with the Old, In with the New…

I consciously try to not live in the past, but with 2009 coming to an end, I can’t help but be somewhat reminiscent…

Starting my Blog – In January, I launched godandshoes.  It has become a fun outlet for my writing and a way to quasi-stay connected with family and friends.

Running the Mini – In May, I completed my third half-marathon with my brother.  Geist wasn’t the race I originally anticipated, but God apparently had other plans.

Going to Japan – In August, I traveled to Tokyo as part of a missions team from my church, which was an incredible experience.

Serving on Faith Quest – It’s always an honor to serve on this wonderful weekend.  This year, I was blessed to serve on two amazing teams.

Overall, 2009 was a year of highs and lows.  I spoke at retreats, worked out (perhaps obsessively), faced big decisions, turned 28, hosted Sojourn, cheered on the Colts, and spoiled my niece.  I delved into my past through counseling, dropping chains and learning to run free.  Though it all, God was faithful.  I’m excited to see all that He has for me in 2010!

Happy New Year, Everyone!
