Today, my sister turns 31 years old.

When Sheryl was in elementary school, she would come home and “teach” me what she learned that day.  (So, by the time I went to Kindergarten, I was able to read.)  Come to think of it, I’ve learned a lot from her over the years…

Like how a rogue duck that bites can be punished by being thrown into a pond.

Like how to never give her a combined Christmas/Birthday gift.

Like how to never, ever, under any circumstances, wrap her birthday present in Christmas wrapping paper.

Like how grandma’s pickle recipe can be duplicated, even outside grandma’s kitchen.

Like what professors to take –and not take – at Taylor.

Like how it is possible to have an entire Christmas tree covered in only Peanuts ornaments.

Happy Birthday, Sheryl!  I love you!
