At Once

boat“As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew.  They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. ‘Come, follow me,’ Jesus said, ‘and I will make you fishers of men.’ At once, they left their nets and followed him.” –Matthew 4:18-20 (NIV)

They followed Him “at once.”  The NASB version says the disciples left “immediately.”  The King James Version says that they did so “straightway.”  The Message puts it this way, “They didn’t ask questions, but simply dropped their nets and followed.”

When Jesus calls you, do you leave everything behind and follow Him “at once?”
