Cracked Pots

potI don’t know about you, but there are times when I feel broken.  Like I have been permanently scarred because of my past.  Like I’ll never be whole or complete again.

The Bible often relates us to clay in the hands of the Potter.  Isaiah 64:8 says, “Yet, O LORD, you are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.”

If my life is a clay pot, it has been cracked in quite a few places.  As a Christian, I have the “light” of Christ in me.  Maybe God uses our “brokenness” to shine His light through the cracks, to help others see more of Him, to make us even more beautiful.

Thanks, God, that You use cracked pots… like me.  🙂

“But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this is all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed, perplexed but not in despair, persecuted but not abandoned struck down, but not destroyed.”
-2 Corinthians 4:7

One Response to “Cracked Pots”

  1. “You make all things new
    You make all things new
    Come redeem and come transform
    Come renew and come restore
    You make all things new
    You make all things new
And forever we will watch and worship You”
