I was driving on Saturday, enjoying the sun that was warming my skin.
I wish the sun was around more often, I thought as I sighed.
Then it hit me. The sun is always there. Even when I can’t see it, it’s there, hiding behind the clouds. It rises every day in the East and sets every day in the West, regardless of whether or not I see it.
It’s kind of like God. There have been times in my life where I definitely can’t see Him and don’t think He’s there. But He is. Just like the sun.
“Where can I go from your spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast.” –Psalm 139:7-10
